Contemporary Score, Music Supervision & Sync Licensing
Doug relocated to Los Angeles, where his music career naturally evolved into film and television. His cinematic journey began as a composer for acclaimed director, screenwriter, and producer Michael Mann, followed by industry luminaries including John Wells, Brian Grazer, Casey Patterson, Don Mischer, and many more. His contemporary electronic style earned a BMI Award for the score of the FOX series Lie To Me.
Always evolving, he expanded into music supervision, musical directing, and began writing and producing independent songs for hundreds of popular soundtracks including CSI, Pretty Little Liars, Ghost Whisperer, Friday Night Lights, Blades Of Glory, Legally Blonde, and 90210. He was simultaneously scoring dramas, music directing Hollywood's talent competition shows, and pioneering independent song production and placement in television, the industry practice now termed ‘SYNC’.
Over the next two decades, his role expanded far beyond music. He became one of the few professionals to build a career across nearly every creative discipline involved in producing a film soundtrack.
